A tile & coping truck has showed up today and there was a small swarm of worker bees with buckets buzzing about the Obstacle when I left for work today. I think we're only entering week 3, and it already seems like an eternity |

Indeed. It looks like they may be on track after all. Bricks have been replaced with stone. Most of Obstacle deck has been torn up. I lost a ring down there back in 1994 or 95. I wonder if they'll find it? Net and poles are still sitting out at job site after being taken down, which is a good sign, and the mountings are still in place. Those damn ladders, though! |

Workers are again focusing on deck today. I'm thinking we're about 2 weeks away. |

There is progress today! Boards were actually being nailed down to start the new deck, with pneumatic nail gun, no less. Not quite as popular as the pneumatic goat launcher, of course, but still likely to expedite deck reconstruction. So if this keeps up, I figure we're 2 weeks away. Gives the engineers out there time to come up with solutions for the ladder problem, because ladder laceration will make drain pain look like a walk in the park. When the Obstacle re-opens, Komie & Melendez will challenge the W VA paralegals to a water volleyball match, kick their ass, and then make them link to our website. |

Yesterday worker bees managed to nail about 5 boards into deck. There was another swarm of them working this am, apparently on deck. But at 5 boards per day, we have a long way to go. |

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. I discovered I had no water this morning. Reason why was pretty easy to discover. There was a giant hole with a hose coming out of it gushing water, surrounded by construction monkeys, while one was digging furiously. They decided for some reason to remove the entire fire hydrant fixture. This "renovation" is getting out of hand. |
