We have the capability to make the worlds first bionic pool
The Obstacle will be that pool
Better than he was before
Better, Stronger, Faster

We need to look at this as a surprise offeason...We can all do the same w/ ourselves...refocus for beating that ball silly after the break...

You forgot that it will be a "safer" Obstacle as well. Not sure that's a good thing!

Poolside trees have been ripped up, and planters are gone. All bricks around outside of pool are gone. There are ladders descending into drained pools.

And amidst all this hurly burly, our net is still there

I saw a flatbed coming in today with what may have been palettes of deck boards. Hard to tell because they were covered due to RAIN.

It will be tough for worker minions to stay on schedule if this keeps up. Time to start thinking about what is to be done if there is to be no ball at the Obstacle on 7/4

Attorney Scott is concerned that the 2 ladders they put in the Obstacle might be permanent. I countered that they probably need to bolt ladders down in order to get equipment to bottom of the pool for resurfacing. Anyone think we need another letter?

The Argosy must be planning for Chief’s golden years. I had a long look at these ladders and they are permanent. The only question now is: are they in or out?

All in all, the obstacle is a sad, sad sight.

Ladder solution--buy cheap floaties, wrap them around ladders & play it like arena football. We lived with a tree that impacted serving for years, so I'm afraid we're going to have to suck up & deal on this one.

They will affect game play a bit, but hopefully not that much. I'm more concerned with bodies hitting ladders than volleyballs--you'll be longing for drain pain if this happens! This is why I'm opting for the cushion solution. If the ball hits a floatie, or any part of the ladder, it's out--get ready for a few more re-dos this year.

What else do they have in store for us!!??

Speaking of drain pain, I liked the drains they had at City View. Easy to see and no sharp edges. More places around town could use some like that...

I got the breath knocked out of me so fuckin hard. I will never forget that slip. I still ocasionally run and act a fool but not like I used to. I remember Tony looking at me when I was on the deck like I was dead. I think I was dead. :wink:
