Rule #420. Don’t take anything Taz offers you. He’s on a special diet…

Sunday AAR. The net is regulation height. Passed the measurement challenge.

Next out of chiefs idea bag is a waterproof automatic net tightener for the bottom of the net. Just winds when it gets below set tensile strength.

Matt Cisneros was he clear winner of the coveted “Jefferson award”

Current state of recovery allows me to play 4-5 games before things start to hurt. Thanks for the opportunity.

One of those games was a dynasty killer by a team that should not have won on paper. A great deal of credit for that win goes to… LJ on serve. Yep, you heard me say it.

Also, that’s why we play the games.

Late in the day I played on a very good team that completely underperformed. It happens.

Is there a bit of a skill disparity out there currently? Yes.

How to make that work is the eternal mystery of this league.

Best option is usually mix it up to make it fair.

Best teams today minus the Jefferson factor were those that were well rounded. So I think woodcock, Scully l, and Jarrod had pretty good days.

See Kenny hit. Hit, Kenny hit. See Kenny block. 2nd verse, same as the first.

Welcome back monkey. One of the last of the old ones still in the game. And he’s a month younger than I am, if memory serves.

Lil TJ made an appearance to say hello.

Speaking of serves, Marcelo had a pretty good day on those. Taz too, though I only saw 1-2 moonballs.

Alex is trying new things. Emphasize trying. But if you don’t try, you don’t learn.

Let’s see what next weekend brings.

To paraphrase the absent sheriff, watervolleyball is both sublime (with the dual meaning of awesome and terrifying), as well as inexplicable.

But not really inexplicable, because the ball always goes where you put it.

On that note, aloha until next weekend.
