What a difference a day makes. Ball is like a box of chocolates, meaning it can melt if left out too long in the hot sun!
Lotta players missing today. So we soldiered on with what we had: Tbone Kenny Wescott Scully Miami new Alex Kent Shimmy Dan Monkey Marcelo yours truly new guy whose name I don't know and Laura.
Shout out to Laura--won 2 games, lost 1. Early pool nickname: Maneater--not tall, but a lotta oats:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRYFKcMa_EkSee what I did there? Two can pun at that game!
The Punisher learned a valuable lesson today--whatever you did, and whatever you had on board the day before, try to do the same thing, and maybe a little less with what you had on board rather than more. Because today, there were struggles, a little meltdown in the box of chocolates:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhBcELzXP1IBut speaking of meltdowns, Wescott beat him to it. First game(!) jumped out of pool because there was insufficient law and order. If there was a recycling bin, it would've been in trouble! I guess he's trying out for point guard on the loud and bossy categories. Good to see him back in the game though. He got a ton of sets. Trigger time is important.
On that note, I will mention that many many of the Dallas starters were missing on this day. Just got one thing to say to you pretty princesses:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vw9LOrHU8JII worked my ass off today. Former drunken master, now Steph Curry of slop. I'm used to it, though I can't say it's a skill people will want to learn.
Speaking of skills, guess who had OK days today--new Alex and Miami. Alex's reaction time and fielding is improving. I set Miami like 4-5 times, and he put em down. It's called the option play. Need to do something different when the right play isn't working.
Other notables--see NY serve! Serve NY serve! See Marcelo regress and decide the back row is a break room, and he doesn't like line serves. See NY hit! Hit, NY hit!
See Kent do all sorts of weird things that somehow worked.
See me forget who I was jousting with and get beat by my younger brother Tbone:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EUsnCqqc9sToday was a lot like this last clip. Crazy, awkward, amusing.
Also fun, in the weird way that goofy movies like the movie we star in can be.
I thought today I'm in Panda Academy sequel #27, and it never gets old. Comedy gold, with some game goodness mixed in.
See you next weekend!
