Kudos to those who show up an noon, and hope that there will be game. I salute you. But you might want to be ready to play 4s, or look up the history of this league, and see that it doesn't work that way.

As a semi responsible adult, I had some chores to do. So I didn't make Friday(work), or the fanciful noon Saturday start time. But what to my wondering eyes did appear as I approached the Obstacle/Bone Zone, but a ball in the air and a bunch of white walkers/pale riders--can't be any of ours...

Those were "the Chads" Not sure how they got that name. But Chads are all too familiar. Young. 4 of 6 were tall. Athletic. Talked about their lineups. Played together as a team.

What do you think happened to the Chads?

Sigh. They fought hard, and with respect, although they would not listen on watching the deep ball. Chads did not win. When they left, we told them to come back, and to practice! Which is sound advice.

Because new teams that fight together, even if they have skills, are gonna have some problems if this is their first time in 4 ft of water against their geriatric opponents:

On that, let's give ourselves some respect. WE are the ones who put in the time, play after play, day after day, year after year. To make this game possible for the new people to try:

And this is gonna be tough to learn. Let's talk about the individual Chad. Bad ass athlete, with crazy skills. Won the last game on his serves. But is he mentally there on every play? Won't put his hands up, sits too low in the water like he's taking a dump. "That's my signature move like I'm waiting to explode" I'm told.

Well, rookie, you're in the NFL now. If your freaking hands and body are under water, the explosion is likely to be on you.

It was enough to win the last game to 21, capped by Navy, who had off the field issues*, blocking Jessica for the W!

*As I talked about with Joe today, part of the veteran game and team selections is figuring out who is still eager, sober enough to play the game, and willing to take a crack at the Persians.

And if you lose, and lose I did! What's your option? I think keep fighting!

With Mikey in Australia, Javi out with injury, and Dub nowhere to be found, there really was no answer for the Walrus today full Jefferson treatment for the field:

I blocked him once, out of bounds, and was told I sucked.

Taz next up on the hit parade. Although Taz is now a vet, no grizzly. He's not hungry to take on teams that might be better than his, if he could play on a good team.

We had the rarest of the rare today--poll play! Poll is in. I knew this, so I played it off. We still lost the point.

I did a lot of losing today. But got a W with Joe, Dan in power position, Chad, super Dave, and Nav???

That's why we play the games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qXM0nZq0RA

New guys are getting better--new Alex is moving, and doing things. It's called trigger time.

Important instruction. Ball don't hit water. Do what you have to within the team structure:

These are GREAT days we're livin, bros!
