Mixed day today, talent wise. Also strange, in that even the BBGs were pretty lopsided. Yours truly & teams won some games early, including a dynasty (with Gronk!). Then ended up in the bad rote. Back started to tighten up (again) so time to go--not going to throw it out bringing the D league up to speed. So I left early, which means hopefully there are more tales to tell.
Notable performances from what I saw--Joey, the sander little big man. Absolutely devastating lefty, on both spikes and serves. Use your Joey!!! Those teams that didn't, lost. And he's still learning our water ways...
Dub, the Joey nemesis--played against him before, so knows his tendencies.
Mighty Walrus--Walrus be Walrusin. Including 13-0 serving run.
Tbone--very aggressive and effective today--lotta anger... got to do a shimmy after a one handed block on Shimmy!
Monkey--born again hard! Some amazing fielding on Joey serves. Fielding is not what he was known for--hence the nickname. Best he's played in years--keep it up:

Marcelo and Dub both used their heads to defend against Joey spikes.

Joe probably had the rest record on the day: 5-1. Remember, pandas, he's not on any of our chat lists, so don't forget to invite him to play.
Gambler played well today.
New guys... stick with it. Here;s the best I can tell you as an elder statesman. You will get targeted, which means you have to handle your position. Don't be "that guy" who can't, and is the weak link in the phalanx. If you prove you can handle your shit, you won't let your team down, and you won't get picked on as much. Don't be "that guy." Make someone else be "that guy."
Best of the new players is Chad. But very streaky. We've got to string good plays together, new people.
