I just lost my whole AAR post (too long), which means I have to start all over again!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ek2alPDHkSM

That makes me as angry as the Sailor was today:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlVoD17y5y4

I share his anger. Ls are not good. Ws are better. But we have been playing mixed days this weekend.

Anger can help you, if you do not turn to the Dark Side:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmGuy0jievs

Sometimes you work hard, and you lose. At least that got me and Navy into prime seats for hecking:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14njUwJUg1I&t=187s

And sometimes, you can roll in, suck, and win. I think we all know of whom we speak:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CE1cTTRj8tg

He was specifically texted today to come in and be the Savior who would stop the slop that was happening yesterday. Instead, not so much. Quite the reverse.

Stats are funny things. Nate Nightshield, superhero and defender of the faith, came up with one: LJ only won one game when he didn't play with Nate. Therefore, Nate is the key to victory, and had to carry LJs sorry ass. Good thing he's gone to the gym, because LJ is a heavy buoy. Good job, Nate, in padding LJs stats, for which you will get no credit, and only blame.

I'm much lighter, so when I suck, it's a little easier for my team to carry me.

In medias res, let me turn to something old Mr. Fezziwig/Col Kilgore(!)Tbone, our generous solo guitar host told me today: Someday, this will all end. So cherish every moment--the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat. At least we're playin...

Mixed days are hard:

We/the league will have NO future if we don't do it. And I'd rather die later than sooner.

Let me turn to the positive:

From yesterday. So many spikes were coming back, kinda continued today: 33-40% is a pretty good stat.

Hat's off to Ronin Grizzle yesterday. He's learning, and may be the last of his kind from Houston. That's a shame. Rebels should allow pirates to get on board, we're in the same business:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A19q7rysLs

On to today, and the positive... Scott the Walrus continues to impress. Nary a player who can stop him. He just needs to remember this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3ZcflP8KPY

Apparently Dub's shoulder is feeling better. He was drubbing.

Ford had some hits.

Won't neglect Mikey, who wasn't as sick as he made out (trash to the safety crowd)..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1SfzV67Bqw

It's a banger's world, I just live in it. Hiding from the hunter killers...

Mo positive--New York with the best games I've seen him play. I'm set great (in water, when given 1 inch passes), but he's a great setter. And he figured out he was tall today, and hit the crap out of some balls.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGBQf2GSNC0

Apparently all we have to do to get him to go all Big Apple is have his hipster buddies show up, put our games in front of 600 people(!), and say we don't suck at playing ball.

Thank goodness I died with honor on a large venue!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWVaa6FXmbY&t=28s

Are you not entertained?

Last, but for sure not least, I was very impressed with the play of Kenny Rogers, the Gambler. He consistently played strong net against taller opponents--you could see the decision to knock it off tall hands. That's smart ball.

In closing, never forget:

See all of you magnificent bastards next time. Don't look for paradise. It's here:

It was a hard Sunday. good games and lots of great rallies, but just a buoy too far. all it takes is one to really make life hard.

Also Scotty serving that buoy 5 times in a row to win a game was unethical behavior!! Say it ain't so Scotty!

I was definitely not a 100%. i used ball to pick myself up. i will be happy to be 100% next weekend (i hope)

LJ played maybe the worst game a biped ever played. And for this I give you:

Played my worst game in years after 3 days drinking in Frio River. Still came back to almost win that game, and of course added a Dynansty to the streak of having at least one every wknd...It has to suck to need to pt out one bad game cuz I have so many good ones. Have I mentioned my winning % is higher than all but maybe Edub & Javi...I make teams better...That’s all there is to it...

And let’s call yesterday what it was: Battle of the Buoys not to be confused w the glorious GoT Battle of the Bastards

And Chefy, you have to set even the bad to avg passes to win consistently, and esp at crunch time!

If I can reach em, I'll try pretty hard to set em. I was trained on the 1 inch pass. Now I have to learn high and tight and almost over the net on first pass.

And I'll put my ability to move and adapt to whatever comes my way against all 5 LJs combined.

But of course the goal is not to have to move, or reach, or jump. So much easier that way. Just ask Dan!
