Now that's more like it!

Still a little cold out there, but the bottom of the pool being slick wasn't as much of a problem today. About 3 hours of pretty good ball was played today. NOW I remember why I put myself through this grueling regimen year after year after year...

Game 1 was a reminder of why we play the games vs. look at the paper stats: pretty stacked squad went down 9-1 to start, and ended up losing. Cue sad trombone or "Caw Caw!"

Welcome back to the pool to Johnathan and Jarrod. A new couple joined in for the early action, and played okay. A couple other guys shirted up later, and didn't do so well. Always remember Navy's (tm) Friend Acquisition Program...

Today's notables: hitters can hit. There was a pretty healthy competition for MOAH (mother of all hits) between Scott, Javi, Dub, Mikey. Everybody got into the act: LJ had a couple, Woodcock (who is shaping up to be our replacement for Sheriff/Little Big Man while he's on his secret journey this season) had an amazing flex hit from the back row on my bad pass intended for Dub. I even got a chance to hit a few--thank you for the opportunity.

Be forewarned, the moon is out early this year. Jess sunk about 7 moon balls right at the back middle of the pool over 2 days.

Special achievement award to TBone for dropping pounds and fighting in a new lighter weight class. T-Mobile! Better hops, still good hitting power.

Still need to work on the rhythm thing. I don't think the cold water helps. Because cold makes cowards of us all.

The question remains, how long will the Forf holdout last?

Quick addendum: Several saucy Sailor spikes.

For the omission, he gets his own video tribute:
