Well, well, well... looks like we got a good jump on summer.

Riata is heating up. So let's try to get there at 3:

I made the "mistake" today of getting there more or less on time, so I got in a game with a bunch of getting in with a bunch of new guys, which means it took me about 3 games after that to get back in the rotation.

However that affected my winning percentage, playing ball is really not a mistake. Think about what we're trying to teach--we will fight just as hard with you as we will against you:

State of the game, people--you may have to deal with people who are not as experienced as you are, which means they're going to eat a bullet, a bullet that was meant for you:

There were several guys who "got it" today. Encourage them, please. We're gonna need them. Because summer chaos is coming.

Nice to see Ryan back--I had him as my nominee for rookie of the year. He had his moments, but needs more trigger time.

But the big story of the day is that private Ford is born again hard:

He's player of the day. Haven't seen this kind of motivation from him since 2007. Motivation was rewarded--he was go to guy through many games. Brought one of his buddies to play too. Outstanding.

Welcome back:

Also, props to all hitters on this tall net--tallest ever. You're still killing it.

LJ, please stop sucking:

You're a better player than what you've been showing. Age and injury limit our abilities--trust me I know. Getting drunker and more frustrated doesn't work--trust me, I know that, too. See "fall of Chief 2007." I know it takes a while, but get your head out of your ass and play team ball. Anything's possible--take your own advice. C'mon, man. Who's the man that knows that past glory and frustration doesn't often get you the W?

This Guy!

The time for honoring yourself, or feeling sorry for yourself is over, sir. There is ball to be played. Straighten up and fly right, sir. If I can get a modicum of discipline out of Taz and Dan, you're behind the curve.

There's the real world, and then there's what we do--we are ball players, godammit!

While Jess and I were having an old school style headquarters party at the Creepy Mansion tonight after ball I was pumping up the flat volleyballs I have laying around and my old Mikasa is pretty much holding its air! This may be the infamous Rock Ball, however I am not sure.

I still have 2 other broken Dragon balls. Jared has one serviceable Dragon as well. If push comes to shove I suggest we hold the busted up orbs under wander to find the defect, apply super glue, and see what happens.
