In honor of the return visit of Cricket, played south both days, as promised. The pointy plants were mysteriously clipped. Which has solved some problems. Yesterday I lost 2, and won more than 2. There was an especially fun small ball team involving 3 Argosy Chiefs (and, amazingly, those are the only 3 there were, or will ever be!), and Jess. Lots of sets and movement. Saturday is on game film, so you'll get to see it by and by. Today I spent the first game getting all the suck out, or at least most of it. Really, really bad. Mikey brought out a new Pinky ball, and I think they're going to get married. Whack. A. Doodle. Jesus & Mr. Tasty put on a show. Lots of other spikes on this day, notably a Jess cross court behind the back that hit about 5 times. I got to block Ford more than once, so the mismatch wasn't exactly 90-10 today. Some new guys learned some things, and I got to work on the low front loaded give and go to the back row set. I'm getting it. And Dan knew what to do in terms of taking out a drunk and yappy Deer chief to end the last day's game to 21. I will hurt after this weekend. |

good times. i vote Pinky as MVP. i had to put both pimp hands on ice. i got very drunk. note, water volleyball is the only game where alcohol increases your capabilities. i owe jess some crown. that really got her going. somebody should have called the national guard. jesus and mr tasty distributing beatings like it was 1999! |

excellent. yeah, he was drunk. shit we were all drunk i thought. earlier in the day he was pissed off too because he wasn't playing. i tried to calm him and get him back in the game. he came around and played well. he has game. |

Resident Rob has a drinking Roblem. Takes one to know one. Enough personal beatings will eventually get the point across that you are letting your team down. But hey, he's not used to rolling with the pros. He could probably be as drunk as he wanted to and take out the competition PPI (Pre Panda Invasion). So he's new to this level of competition. Takes a while to get the point across, but I learned it. Which means anybody can, because I'm just about the oldest dog in the pool these days! Bow wow wow yippie you yippie yay. |
