I was lobbying for Riata today but found myself needing a ride from Jethro due to car problems and once he received the message that Riata was 6 shirts deep for games, we went to Deerfield.

It was a slow start with Rob, Kristy, Dan, Jess, but Dave showed up and then the locals began migrating to the volleyball pool.

For some reason we decided to play our games to 21 pretty much all day. It was a good crowd of relatively inexperienced but enthusiastic players including many girls.

As the day wore on, the players' skill level improved. Some were learning to set and spike and we had some good volleys.

Rob set a lounge chair in front of those plants and it helped. No popped balls.

Later on Monkey showed up and played a number of games. Attorney Scott made a brief appearance but didn't make it into the water.

We played into the evening and the Deerfield locals love water volleyball.

They weren't big boy games, but I played pretty much non stop for 4 hours.
