| Post subject: | end of preseason |
Well, Pandas, shortest preseason ever. But pick up a weapon and stand to post, because next weekend, the adventure begins. I appreciate your interest and participation in a venue that is not what you're used to (much more on that in another post), but let's get back to games. Lots of new people today. Jonathan brought a couple guys, Jared brought a couple of girls. They played and learned. After somewhat rough starts, Mikey and Ford re-learned what their special purpose was for--hella serves and heavy hammers. Ford, in particular, took over a game, for like 8 straight Ford based plays (told you you were going to make the AAR!). Mikey and Jess were flexing on the front row faster than I've seen in a while. Resident Dave timed a couple excellent blocks. Jared also had some nice moments at the net, and his serves are on early this year. IMHO, after being out of action for longer than we're used to, we're looking at a good season here: fun with your friends in the sun, some libations thrown in, resort community eye candy? Ain't so bad, is it??? A more serious post will follow, which you can all feel free to ignore |
