great games. really good competition out there with some new guys. they were very athletic and all over the pool. almost dropped one to them. other than that - more people should pay attention to spacing, tendencies and where they need to be. counted like 5 scores in one game right in front of the middle man (who is supposed to be playing up). and no one adjusted. back up off the net. i would say half the sets are over the net. everyone pull off. people set you where your shoulders are. if you are stuck in the net then you will be set in the net. second, people tend to spike in certain ways. watch them. go to where they are hitting before they hit. you can then dig the ball. its fun for everyone. third, get a car. this enables you to make it to the pool. ford and chief, both gainfully employed, have been car-less now for a while. thats just sad. enough bitching. we have one month left to play ball. more like 3 weekends. there is no riata ball come football season. that means labor day is it. done. and now when we go up we are having good games. make the best of it. |

This is all good advice. Also, use the sun to hit the peeps who can't see. Car is still in shop, dammit! I'm used to not being heard, but now I have become invisible as well! |
