Riata's got it... the only game in town I'm aware of right now. So up I went.

Saturday took Monkey #2 to go play. Faggotry ensued as usual. Not much in the way of good games, although I recognized some familiar faces. Carson could really challenge Scotty for drunkest panda, and wins hands down for summer serve. Monkey #2 was competing as well--first he found a mighty serve, then lost it, then found it, then kept falling over while trying to hit the ball warming up. Getting there somewhat after the action started, I found myself among scrubs and buoys up against the famous Riata stacked deck. Comments like, "Well, maybe you're not the best water volleyball player in the world" ensued at my expense. I certainly admire their idea of fair odds. To which Carson replied, "It's every man for himself up here, Pops. This is America!" Classic.

Be advised, by the time Mikey showed up, they were about ready to pack it in. Games right now are pretty much happening between 3 and 5. The absence of Dub in favor of sand ball has been noticed, and will count against him.

Sunday showed some marked improvement. T Bone is doing a hell of a job up there as Chief--they (management) bought him a new net and his own Riata ball--a Mikasa no less! Security is friendly, and there are some potential players, including ladies. Kenny was back, and there were a couple tall guys who showed up both days. They were not happy to have to face down the mighty squad that was me, T Bone, Jared, Jared's girl, Dave, Attorney Kent, and sometimes other rotating 6th persons. Not a lot of height there, but good enough to beat the 2 trees, Jonathan, and Attorney Scott. Scotty hasn't played on my team up there, so he hasn't had a set in a week. I think he's going to go ballistic. Had a fun day closing out a lotta wins with Dwayne.

My team was calling me "an army of one" Still the hardest working man in show business. But I could use some help out there. Game won't be good up there if we don't have good players. It follows.
