I was told we were going to have temperatures in the 90's on Saturday. Not so much. It actually rained at Riata while we there there.

Still, both Riata and Argosy can be classified as playable. Updates in terms of rules--I'm told no mats this year in the pool at Riata. Of course we already know that at Argosy! The answer is to find a couple of cheap plastic bathmats with holes in them, or punch some holes in them, so that drains don't get blocked.

Hard to believe it's been like 6 months since I've seen some of you pandas. That's a long time without ball.

Those who showed up Mikey(2games) Bunny LJ me Jess Shay Farmer Ted(6 year absence) Ford Gabber Dub Attorney Scott at Riata, and Creepy and Chief Cricket when we moved things down to Argosy.

Hard to tell in cold whether how cold people's preseason game is, but standouts were Jess's defense and serves (moonball never rusts), Cricket got his serves in and was in the right place at the right time during the games. Best all around performance on the day was turned in by LJ, who has no doubt been doing some sand ball in the off season.

The epic battle of the day/night: Chief Dan Scott took 2 out of 3 vs Cricket Ford Jess

Wish we could have gotten a few more games in...I dont understand getting out of pool after getting used to the cold twice...

I enjoyed much improved back row hitting and power serving, but unfortunatley those evolving sand skills probably wont correlate to the Obstacle's smaller dimensions...

Overall, a good first day tho w/ many more to come...
