Anyway, the first evening ball at Riata was a success...Good food, decent to good games, music, and actually legal resident to guest ratio...Games were not great, but there were some great plays...Thx to Scotty and company for coming thru w/ the after game grilled grub...

My player of the day goes to ShayShay...Seems the longest runs were when she went on serving runs, and she had multiple blocks of several "supposed" hitters...Also, Carson moves pretty fast when sober and unsafe...

Please add comentary on WW Number One Oh10 at the Riata...We need to adjust the lights some, but other than that, pretty satisfied w/ our last safe haven of water vball...See yall this wknd...

Agreed on Shay. Jason had to go over to help T2 against her, and she beat both of them. Dub also showed some nice angle shots. Jess's serve was on fire.

Zipping the Lip was one of the funnest parts of the evening. He complained about the back row not being able to handle hot serves, then got aced himself. Dub witnessed the other two: "Chief never backsets," and then I did. "Real point guards don't go over on 2," which must be true, because LJ tried it and I blocked him. That's a Zipfecta.

Not the same as the WW of yore, but fun nonetheless.

Nice retorts...One diving serve to the hole is def not the same as multiple serves deflected backwards that are straight at VETs' TWO HANDS...
