These are some fun days for ball.

Welcome to our new Argosy residents who are putting the ball and court to good use!

During our sad exile during the afternoons, we have at least been voyaging in force to the Riata.

This allows for Argosy-Riata challenges, which are fun and competitive if a bit hard to organize and referee.

Argosy squad consisting of me, Mikey, Jess, Ford, T-2, Will (sorry, Spoons, your time will come), won out 2-0 on Sunday. Mikey is dropping hammers, Jess has a rock solid Riata serve, but player of the game that saved our bacon in game 2 was T-2, who put his explosive style to use in the clutch. Be first, be fast, be accurate. I should probably add, and don't be too Joosed up! Advice I failed to follow later in the evening.

We also had a rather epic Saturday battle on the Obstacle. Saturday was the day for frisky Chief with the shit hand--I smacked a ball with my right harder than I've ever hit before. First game where we gave up all the height and speed didn't go well, but with teams properly adjusted, me, JB, Wescott Ford did well against Mikey Jess, T-2, Creepy.

Other notables. Big Shot had some big hits at Riata. Nat G got to play her first games of the season, Nick broke his finger on his first game back (say it ain't so, Nick?), and I'm sure I left out a lot of other important stuff (like my block on Mikey up at Riata and Ronin Charlie's 3 blocks on Mikey at the same venue), but hey, I'm not wandering around with a paper and pencil the whole weekend--I'm ballin!

Its called playin off tha net. No one gets their fingers broken or a bloody nose. Florida and Arkansas can do it, why can't we?

I set him, it's true. He was above the net and had a hammer shot, Chief that is the biggest slam you ever have had.

I've had my nose broken twice playing off the net--by my own team. And when I dislocated my finger, I was off the net, but trying really hard to front up and get on the net for a block.

My feet are out of commission. I've never had 10 separate bleeding blisters before. Hopefully with the correct drug regiment I can be semi cured by late night Saturday.
