Well, both pools were the deadest ever in the history of AWVP mid summer wknds...

Basically and completely: Crawfish, Steve, Chief, and me showed that on an unselfish team using all three hits w/ no black holes (not even light gets out of them) that we can slap Misty pretty good, too!

I almost made it out on Sunday....even put my panties on. Then I started puking :vom:

What LJ said. Small ball worked well. Not only can undersized hitters still hit when properly set (as LJ did with a couple of off the net hi-line sets), but they can play strong defense as well (see Crawfish's Corner). I'm also very impressed with Ronin Steve's game this year.

Turnout was pretty small--still there were some new players and spacy sailors. And the talk of the town was JB's theft of Jethro's water panties.

In other news, BT has moved south for the rest of the summer. We need to update the pool safari list--Navy informs me someone at his work has recently discovered Zen and the art of watervolleyball--"Welcome to the NFL, Rookie."
