La Mirage has fallen, boys. On this 20th of July, 2007, the residents of La Mirage reclaimed their pool in an epic stand off with the Panda Corps. Hurling invectives and grievances built over several weeks of domination, the residents proved themselves to be raging fucks, incapable of civility. There would be no treaty on this day. Only retreat. And so Panda Corps leaves the sorry assholes to their sorry life and must wait until the Obstacle comes back online. Such is life in the loud ass Corps. Containment--impossible. A certain volume seems to exist for happiness and across this threshold some (most) people care not for us to cross. So, homeless again, sad Pandas wander Austin, searching for a game...

Lets take over and get kicked out of Caprock this weekend!

It is a good 5v5 or 6v6 pool and we havent invaded it since last summer...

I got this news just as I was about to head up. WTF did you guys do up there?

Heard it has something to do with kids. The whole resident issue aside, I still haven't been able to fathom why there are parents out there who demand the "right" to let their little ones play wherever they so desire, even when there's game on or people are waiting to play.

Seriously, does this happen on basketball courts? Baseball diamonds? Soccer fields? Golf courses? Do you let your kids go swim out among the surfers in the ocean? Sometimes, "Get out of the way, kid." is the proper response for everyone's safety.

It was even nastier than that. The parents ordered their kids to play in the volleyball pool when the kids were drifting into the main pool. These fuckers took the table we usually take, called LJ fatty, had their camera in operation, threatened to call the police, and were generally looking for a fight.

Would have been nice to have some resident support.

An anonymous call saying glass has been found at the bottom of the pool could make the rest of the summer very unfun for these fightin' families. Plant a couple of shards poolside as "evidence." How's that for a conspiracy?

By the way, we played at the Riata after we fled La Mirage and there were about 6-8 people there that played with us. They probably don't all live there, but they can play and they can drink. :drinkers:

Riata was not that bad...2 of the guys were on the better side of average and 2 were avg...the rest were your typical native fare...

I believe it depends on the night as to when la policia are around...I believe that if we start our weekday sojourns around 7 we might avoid some exposure...

As I said in previous posts, you also need to stagger the pools and stagger the days you play at them as much as possible to avoid Mirage malfeasance.

Even if people are on the lookout for you, they have to be pretty big time haters to watch for you every day.

I've seen some of the kids around and the rag-wearing woman. The pscyho bitch I don't recall and I don't think I've seen the threatening, "fatty"-spitting douchebag either. It seems likely they have been annoyed with us for a while and decided to stage whatever the fuck yesterday was instead of actually sharing their grievances in a civil manner.
