I think our schedule is tougher than just about any other professional sport. We're playing at least 3 days a week for a solid six months, sometimes longer.

And the wear and tear is starting to show. Now it's Attorney Scott with the bad finger, injured some time during last night's 3 on 3 challenges, which were great games, BTW. OJ, Crawfish, & Jess pulled out a victory vs. me, Ford & Attorney Scott, but I blame the injury, and fading light. I struggled mightily to block OJ, but I'm afraid he had my number. My sets were on, though. Earlier in the day Ford had some pretty nice stuffs on Jim Back, who retired early due to drunkenness.

I liked the games on Sunday. Even though I was pretty tired and had to be convinced to come out, games were good and competitive. Had a couple of Miragers play, and not always badly. I couldn't decide what to do with the ball Jeremy left out there, so I left it out there, and informed other residents. I didn't want him to think we ran off with it. So if anyone happens to see that guy before I do, let him know.

Not much I really remember about Saturday ball, except for leading Deto away from the court by the ear.

But I think the problem started a bit earlier, like Friday. K&M dominated the law ball match--was there ever any question! I was playing in a pool where I had to stand on tip toe in most places to keep my head above water. Turns out you can tread water and play ball at the same time, although it's something of a workout. From there I headed up to Mirage with Big Shot Rob, but those games descended into Deto style boobery after about an hour. So off we went to the bar and I think just kind of rolled straight through...

I'm coming off these weekends feeling perpetually almost ill, but not quite. I need my healing waters back! And I higher net should help keep everyone injury free. I'll hate to see the learning curve as we try to learn how to play with ladders where no ladders were before, and what happens when not everyone can spike every time. I'm thinking maybe by the first week of August, they'll be finally finished with the new and unimproved Obstacle--hope hope.

Time to go home and fall down.

That was almost another essay by Jethro...I would ask him to fillabuster anytime...

As to injuries, I believe we forget all the injuries from last year and the year before...when we all play that much ball, the odds just catch up especially w/ all the big hitters and insane blocking that goes on in most games...

Looking forward to some ball this wk and this wknd...
