Six locals, eh? Looked a bit more like one to me--at least he can serve. Anyway, nice turnout for a weekday. As attorney Scott mentioned, "this is getting addictive." We had a rare Pants sighting, along with college, Bunny (briefly), Wild Boys, Elaine, Ford, Will & friends, etc.

This place is really turning into my second home. All we have to do is raise the net about 3-4" so that everyone can't play like a superstar. Speaking of superstars, Mikey might have broken his finger in the middle of the first game. I haven't heard the full medical assessment yet.

Our team struggled through to victory nonetheless. Note to self--I've been told it's bad form to "Woo!" my own serves. But they were soo damn pretty!

And the minute I think I'm getting the hang of the new venue, my team gets blanked in the next game. I told Pat to set me against Scott on game point, and very nearly put a perfect spike in the back corner--instead it hit the back wall. Typical...

As darkness fell, Jess and I were team captains, and he let me have the height advantage (Scott & Pat). Close game nonetheless. I think we pulled it out 15-13.

Don't know how things went playing drunk dark ball--I bid la Mirage adieu and got home 9:30. Wild Wednesday lives on.

I've been playing with a broken finger ever since the south-side City View excursion, but luckily it seems to be just a fracture so I just splint it every night and tape it on the weekends.

The tiles at Mirage are pretty much a non-issue once you get used to them. I'd rather have tiles than a sharp drain, or a drain with a lot of height that's easy to jam toes on.

Indeed my finger is broken. Got it x-rayed today. Fractured middle bone and crushed the joint. Its all black today, but it really doesn't hurt. Will be out of commission for some time.

Wish I could have played more than the 7 points i got in.
