To an extent, that goes to your training. I myself have had to be restrained on more than one occasion from kicking the crap out of your opponents.
That's why we offer to mix it up, so that scrub pain can be shared, and hopefully people learn.
Deaf guys there didn't get it, so they got it.
My 2 cents goes more to a problem with resident presence, recruiting, and overuse of the "amenity" by non-residents.
These are problems I was quite familiar with for most of my tenure as Chief of Argosy, and ones I was unable to solve.
Ideas going forward are welcome.
