It was only day 1 of 2018 preseason, but already, people are watching our antics, asking questions ("how often are you out here" was my favorite--must be new), and joining in. This is good. Because to survive, AWVP must be seen as a benefit, not a hazard. Remember, and think on, the Navy concept introduced at an awards ceremony a couple of years back: FAP: Friend Acquisition Program, and ABF--always be FAPing. We have a distinct opportunity this weekend. I've spoken with Joe on this, and he's in agreement. Just maybe, this being the pre-season and all, we can give some people a chance to play, and mix it up, if they're willing to do so if they come in as a full team (usually takes a beatdown to convince, but I digress). Because our true colors will come out soon enough. It's a game we take seriously, and we keep score for a reason. Slaughter is inevitable, but it need not be the first choice. That's been fixed. So maybe time to think of your role as the golf/tennis pro at a country club. Hired guns.
