POINT GUARD

Post subject:

We decided to go with Best Team Player instead of Best Point Guard, I believe. Is this correct, p and chief?

Author:  Creepy [ Mon Nov 27, 2006 11:32 am ]
Post subject:

We are thinking the first six categories listed shall be write-ins. Before we vote, pandas can speak about these categories at the ceremony. You can make a power point presentation on why Jim Back should be voted the sexiest panda, etc.

Additional candidate for Most Improved: Benz-no

Once the date of the ceremony has been set, there will be a limited time for suggestions, so get them in now, pandas!

Post subject:  POINT GUARD

I guess I did leave something off! I think we were still doing a point guard award--candidates being Chief, Navy, Jess, Jim Back + write in. However, it's kind of hard to check, because Jim Back trashed my notes!

Post subject:

Aw, Chief. Are your notes all stuck together?

I have revised the list. :P

chief, please... the condition that you were in this weekend i don't think you really remembered what happened. i have a cold, i think it is from the one hour nap i took in the cold tub at 3 in the morning.

how about funniest panda; or my favorite "Shark of the Year"; a panda with a fin on his backside. :axe:

Post subject:  WTF Happened?

How'd it get to be November and what drunk ass thinks that I actually improved this year? Hell no. I was better last year. Before The Injury. Don't you remember, a fielding, setting, passing spiking machine I was! Yes indeed, that's how I see it.

In any case, I'm not so fond of the "Most Improved" designation, as it's more or less a "You don't suck quite so much as last year" award, so I hereby withdraw from the running on that one.

I still think the Tiny Kingdom award category should be renamed the "Motion in the Ocean" category due to its obvious aquatic correlations and because it makes Chief feel better about himself.

And I hereby suggest we start working on Lifetime Achievement awards for those whose immeasurable contribution to the lore of water volleyball survives the repeated lashings our long term memory is taking from drinking and safety meetings.

Right now I think the front-runner has to be Rom, but there's Silverback to consider as well. Might even have to throw names like Tree in that mix, as it would appear the marriage monster has eaten him in total.

Before I suffer Ronin's revenge, we need to add LJ to the point guard nominees.

Post subject:  Let the gods decide

20 is too many. But there are several of these awards that probably will not have a clear winner.

And we're all about decisiveness. If, after the votes are tallied, some of the award categories lack clear winners, we shelve that trophy for next year.

i agree there should only be five. mvp, off player, def player, server, spiker, point guard, panda. ok seven... but these safest, bad panda, sexist. that actually hurts play, that's why this year sucked so much... people worrying about all that other shit.. you fuckers leave that shit at the gay bar

Benz is proposing ideas. I personally think Benz has improved his blocking, spiking, and serving this year. You bitch and lie and criticize people in a shallow way. Please stop.

We now await the announcement from Pants regarding when his dark masters will allow him to play host to the post ceremony after party. To put it more precisely--what days there will be Pants and what days no Pants.
