Are we still doing the early BBG? Like LJ authorized? I'm down. We will need a roll call. The experiment worked the last time in terms of attendance, but earlier does seem to we warranted. Also, with reference to another panda post, might want to invite those with 5 yrs experience or more. Gotta earn it, people. Roll call!

whilst i am excite, i do sense a genuine concern about carrying out this plan. given the comments from our residents on the last weekend - it may be prudent to have a yang weekend and not a ying weekend. or, on the contrare, focus for saturday to at least be a pure yang day. mix up teams, let all folks play, be friendly and non combative, set the other folks (!) and try to no press the super team and the concept of a BBG at all. make sense? chief talk to me. its a sensitive issue. we cannot ostracize our friends here. or BBG it at a later date....

I'm in for whatever on Saturday. Community relations sounds like good idea. Sunday I am most likely in for the early start if it happens, but out by 6 to drive to the metroplex. It would be a good idea if a resident BB was in attendance if we do that. My dad's heart valve surgery went as planned and he sounds like crap on the phone. My brother and his wife are visiting him in the hospital and I'm taking a week of leave at work as soon as he gets out, which is either Sunday evening or sometime Monday. I should know Saturday. I'm hoping to track down Nowell's gang the following weekend since I'll still be up there...

LJ will Chief the Sunday noon game. No question. His home, his show. We appear to be very close to a quorum. Just spitballin here, but there is at least going to be a best of 3, due to the special call down (4th of July trick--to make sure it happens, all you have to do is put up 3 shirts!). I'm sure resident LJ will have no problem with that! League game called down by a resident, dammit. Those who are not as lippy can be employed to explain what is happening, from noon to 3. Can we stop our elitism for 1 day on Saturday to have a little quality time on Sunday? I like the idea. Go with it. But I will have to say one has nothing to do with the other. Minus Jarrod's understandable error, as someone new to the website, in announcing the exact date and time of the BBG event, we have back channels for this sort of thing, that go back to the Arogsy days, when there were management issues: "secret" games. Explain it this way--LJ has told me this might be his last year as a resident at the exclusive resort community. Shouldn't he be allowed a couple of hours to do what he wants? Shouldn't we help him do that? He's provided plenty of incentives. BTW? Who's even asking? I'd say we old salts are about 90% in agreement in terms of what a BBG roster would look like. BTW, Sheriff also said he was in. Or Navy, who said the same. That puts us at 9. And I don't think you included little Dave, Dub, and Ford. That would be 12! Tbone, Joe?? Deserving as well. Javie?? Love to see him out there! We've got the potential numbers. If necessary, put a couple people "on call" for the game. But let's leave that to LJ. It's his show, and too may cooks spoil the broth.

This may be the one time that I will say better with pants than no pants! After inquiring with other interested and newly responsible "vets" (although I'm sure the individual will choke on the word), we've doubled the resident quotient for Sunday--a cooler head and deserving player, in case Lip goes off the rails and starts yelling at the security guards about enjoying his freedoms.
