Got word from someone who was apartment shopping that, when they mentioned that they had heard watervolleyball was played at the Argosy the answer was NO IT ISN'T. My name was mentioned and the word was NO THEY DON'T PLAY HERE in very pissy no uncertain terms kind of language.

Now proudly selling the fact that no fun can be had poolside. I wonder how that will work out for them? I wonder if I should ask for my mat back.

Maintenance says they trashed the net and poles, btw. I think we should start a rumor that people are playing in secret with their own installation--photoshop some nice pics and fax them to the office. Clearly they are not paranoid enough right now.

Well it seems like this is the end of an era. The Argosy is over RIP 1993-2010. Sounds like Chief will be a folk-legend for years to come. This is how the story will be told by future Argosians, “Back when they had the nets set-up here, there use to be this dude who assembled a team of water volleyball professionals. They dominate this pool the first decade of the 21st century, only to be forced out of their homeland by the evil dictators. They become Ronnins and traveled the countryside in hope of finding other holy waters, only to wither and die shortly after they were forced out of there promised land".
