We are already known by name and reputation. A certain secret 2s challenge match failed to develop because one team failed to arrive on time. By the time ball began other ballers were already frolicking on the Obstacle, but that all stopped when we walked onto the court.
Wednesday saw some great individual performances. Big Shot Rob has always had a block, and sometimes a serve, but now he's learning to hit as well. Rookie Sean blocked Ford, twice! Shay was all over the place making plays, with serves, sets, and saves. Excellent job, and interesting idea involving an all ladies' 2's match. Newsflash! Creepy can serve.
Except for one ill advised switch made by Big Shot, games were on the whole competitive this day. The featured Big Boy Game of the Day (BBGD), morphed into 2 games, and featured Mikey Ford, Jess, Big Shot, Creepy, Dub, Scott, Dwayne, not necessarily in that order. I think one team won both games.
I spent most of my day losing in close games and getting spiked on. At the height of the action, only a few people had to sit out, rain threatened but did not arrive, and the healing waters were at room temp, so all and all a very fine WW indeed.
