I was damn tempted. I made sure the upstairs neighbors witnessed this.

My instinct is to try to show that there are plenty of people breaking the rules in a more flagrant fashion than I am. If you think about it, what's more likely to make someone move out--noise from the pool that stops at 9pm, or noise from the pool that goes on all night? Hmmm...

But what will fighting hate with hate accomplish? One must be careful when feeding logic to illogical people, because you never know what the outcome will be. If I present evidence that other people are breaking the rules, they'd first be mad at me because I am proving them wrong in my usual "intimidating" fashion, and thereby challenging their authority yet again. Second, they'd have even more reason to just eliminate the problem by cutting the poles down--wouldn't stop the problem of noise at the pool, but they'd still have the satisfaction of spiting me by doing it.

Yes, in a far worse fashion than we do. However, the retort will be, "Just because other people break the rules doesn't mean you get to."

Assigning all pool related infractions to me makes their life so much simpler--if you shut me down, then all problems go away--well, pretty clear by day 2 of the lockout it's not going to work like that. The only positive of bringing this issue up with them is to show I'm not the only rule breaker, and at least we try to work with them.

But pointing out continuing problems will only aggravate them more. What they really need to do is CTFO--if they're planning on telling residents that they can't bring anyone to the pool or BBQs (I like to add those into the mix, because they are noisy, attract a lot of people, and beer gets drunk at them, and, oh yeah, management put them in) because one time a girl moved out because of noise, I bet you're going to have a lot of people deciding to ignore those rules, and move out of hate nazi land as fast as they can.

I would advise against adding grumpy to the equation. Pointing out the Indians might just make them act even more. Maybe they can find it our on their own without having their hands held.

ya'll won't believe this, so we live right next to the pool here, the balcony overlooks the pool, there were these horrible kids running, screaming and laughing along with drunk people our age out until 11PM last night, i can't believe people act like that at the pool, i have tlaked to manangement today, and i'm bringing home some bookcases and reading chairs from work, the local library has donated some reading material, so loud sounds and laughter do not come from the pool
