To the so-called "Grizzlies" The above is
instructive, ain't it?

It's nice to see you coming into your own. You are
all good players, each and every one of you. I salute
you.

BUT, I sense a disturbance in the Force. I can see some of the same problems about to pop up again now that the season approaches.

I acknowledge that I have been complicit in your
education. My apologies for teaching you bad things.

But the young are supposed to be better at surviving
and adapting. So I ask you now to start doing it.

I'm not comfortable with running this place into the
ground, as some people, who shall remain nameless, but
should be ashamed of themselves nonetheless, have
suggested.

I know everyone wants to play, but in my golden years, I tend to think long term.

If we play at the Obstacle every day, we die. And getting on bad terms with management again right off the bat is not good policy. It certainly won't help my Saturday recruiting efforts, which I intend to begin whenever the weather finally improves and/or the uninitiated figure out it's summer and start coming out to the pool.

So... I'm now respectfully asking you to back off. At
most, we're doing one weekday here, as legally as possible, and Sundays if we're lucky.

DO YOU GET ME???

Oh yeah, and on a lighter note,

No disrespect, but we also want to be as legal as possible. We haven't stepped on any toes yet, and we don't plan on doing so. The way we see it, though, is that if it's beautiful out and everything's legal.....then why not ball it up as long as everyone keeps their cool (like it has been so far)? That's by far the best pool to play at...all we want to do is play (legally). When it comes down to it, Chief, you do always have the yay or nay in the situation. I love you.

My concern is that when the weather was good last year, temptation overcame temperance (in more ways than one!) and we were rolling every day, and this pisses of the other Argosy denizens. We can make it legal in terms of the number of people out there, but, as I often see in my current occupation, the law is open to interpretation, and the management judges have become far more conservative.

Wearing out anyplace is going to be an issue this season maybe even more than last season...If we hit Riata every Sat,Sun, and a weeknight the same fun nazis will come down on us there too...I feel like we are skateboarders from the 90s...

The tone it down message goes out every year on many deaf ears and particularly a few very deaf ears...Well, our natural habitats are dwindling faster than the rain forests we hear about daily...so toning it down really does have to be a priority and not just a wink wink we will sure try at all of our venues...

The clean as we go that Chief does mostly by himself has to happen w/ both cans and butts or Riata will be no more, too...

We really need another place (or two) to put into the rotation, so we can spread the wealth and not wear out our welcome as fast. I'll scout the Preserve next time I drive by and see if they put in stronger poles. Also, we never did go to the place on Oltorf last year, and it looked pretty decent.
